About Koorda Drive-in
The Koorda Drive-in is a single screen drive-in theater that was built by the Community of Koorda in Western Australia back in 1965. It is a small drive-in with a capacity for about 110 cars. The Koorda Drive-in closed in 1983 because of a lack of business. But it re-opened in 1987 screening movies once a month, sometimes less depending on demand. The drive-in is still operational and is still owned and operated by the Shire of Koorda. The Koorda Drive-in purchased a digital projector in 2015 and now shows first run double features one Saturday a month on average. The drive-ins is cash only so leave the credit cards at home.
