The Beekeeper is the latest Jason Statham action film. Statham action films hit 70% of the time and ever since his debut in Guy Ritchie’s 1998 Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Beekeeper is one of his better action flics. It has a clear motivation that jumps into the action early in the film as well as some colorful and entertaining villains played by the likes of Jeremey Irons, and Josh Hutcherson. Statham delivers cheesy bee related one liners as he disposes of several of the henchmen throughout the film and the film expertly cradles a fine line between taking itself too seriously and being campy. Overall Beekeeper is a fun ride and worth seeing at a drive-in near you.
