It Ends With Us is directed and co-starring by Justin Baldoni and stars Blake Lively, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Hassan Minaj. Blake Lively plays Lily Bloom a Florist who falls in love with charming neurosurgeon Ryles Kincaid (Baldoni). Things become complicated when Ryles becomes abusive and Lily's first love Atlas (Sklenar) comes back into her life. The film is inter-spliced with flashbacks between Lily and Atlas showing the abuse Lily's mother faced at the hands of her father.
The film is melodramatic and has cringy dialogue at times but is well-acted and speaks to an important issue faced by many Americans. The film skews towards a primarily female audience but was entertaining albeit predictable. Overall the film was good not fantastic but not horrible either if you are a fan of romance films, dramas or soap operas see this film at a drive-in near you.
