Juror No. 2 is directed by Clint Eastwood, in his final film, and stars Nicholas Hoult as Justin Kemp, a juror who is forced to make an impossible choice. Kemp (Hoult) is a man with a wife and a kid on the way, he is 4 years sober and works as a magazine writer. He is called into a trial where a man is accused of killing his girlfriend one year prior. However when the details of the case are explained Kemp realizes that he in fact may have committed vehicular manslaughter a crime that if admitted to could lead to life imprisonment.
The film is an interesting take on a courtroom drama filled with fantastic performances from the entire cast which includes JK Simmons, Chris Messina, and Toni Collete. Complete with strong performances, an interesting premise, and fantastic direction from 94-year-old Clint Eastwood, Juror No. 2 is a film worth watching even if it doesn't quite live up to its potential.
