A Quiet Place: Day One is directed by Micheal Sarnoski and stars Lupita Nyong'o, Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, and Dijmon Hounsou who reprises his role from A Quiet Place: Part II. The film serves as a prequel to the first two films and shows the first day the death angels arrive on earth but this time, it focuses on new characters in New York City.
The first two films in the franchise are very good and this film lives up to the quality of the first two films even if it doesn't surpass it. The film has great action performances, and directing. The motivations of the characters are understandable considering their situations and overall it will be a very enjoyable watch at a drive-in near you.
