Jeff Nichols directs the Bikeriders which stars an ensemble cast including Tom Hardy, Austin Butler, Jodie Comer, Mike Faist, and Michael Shannon. The film is undoubtedly one of the year's best and I highly recommend it for any fan of any of these actors. Bulter and Hardy in particular give fantastic performances with Shannon delivering a few memorable monologues and the whole cast giving great performances.
The film is not without its flaws the story is formulaic, the characters are poorly developed and the story only touches on the basic beats of the biker gang history. If it had a greater exploration of both its characters and its themes it could have been an all-time great film. Instead where left with an enjoyable watch and one of the year's best despite not reaching the heights it could have.
