Longlegs is directed by Oz Perkins and starring Malika Monroe, Alicia Witt, and Nicholas Cage. It follows a rookie FBI agent in the 1990s named Lee Harker (Monroe) as she attempts to track down a notorious serial killer (Nicholas Cage). The killer known as Longlegs has been active for nearly 20 years and caused the mysterious murders of many families often perpetrated by the father.
The film is a slow burn and for fans of films like Silence of the Lambs or Zodiac, you will appreciate this horror mystery and cat-and-mouse game. The performances of the entire cast especially Monroe and Cage were fantastic. My biggest criticism of the film is a rushed third act and ending despite some thrilling twists along the way. The film had suspense, horror, and action, and did all these things very well. Overall for fans of the genre, Longlegs is a must-watch at a drive-in near you.
