Happy New Year! A new drive-in theater is coming to Bay St. Louis, MS across the street from the Silver Slipper sign on Highway 90.
Veteran Drive-In Operator John Watzke is launching the new drive-in. He said, “It’s something totally unique for the area….a walk-in theater is fine. It’s a movie. A drive-in is a memory.” Tickets will cost $6 for an adult, $3 for children older than five, and free for kids five and under.
The drive-in should open by April 2023 with a 60×34-foot screen 45 feet up. The concession stand will include an arcade and local favorites such as muffalettas and po-boys.
