About Joy Lan Drive-in
The Joy-Lan Drive-in is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Dade City, Florida which is located about half way between Tampa and Orlando. The Joy-Lan Drive-in is a cozy little single drive-in with parking for a couple hundred cars. It was resurrected by the former president of the old Floyd Theater chain which was once linked to many drive-ins in its time (1940's-1970's). And if price is a factor in attracting a wider audience, then this theater gets it with their low admission price of $7 for adults, $3 for kids 4-9 and kids under 4 are free. The theater is open throughout the year and shows new releases 7 nights a week during the summer. They also operate a flea market there on the weekends. The Joy-Lan is less than an hour drive north of Tampa and they operate a Swap Meet on Saturdays and Sundays starting at 5am. They broadcast on FM Radio but also still have some traditional drive-in speakers as well. Pets are allowed as long as they are well behaved and you clean up after them.
