About B&B Moberly Five and Drive Drive-in
The Moberly 5 and Drive Drive-in Originally opened in 1950 as the Highway 63 Drive-in. It operated for 36 years before closing in 1986. It remained closed for 12 years until the B&B Theater chain, that owned the drive-in, decided to build a new multi-plex indoor cinema on the lot. Since the screen from the old drive-in was still there, they decided to re-open it and did so in 1997. The projection booth for the drive-in is inside the multi-plex. This is also one of the few examples of a "MoPed" operation where a drive-in is in operation in conjunction with a ordinary, walk-in cinema. There are 5 indoor screens that operate year round and 1 drive-in screen which operates seasonally.
