About Misquamicut Drive-In Theater
The Misquamicut Drive-in Theatre is a single screen drive-in movie theater located in Westerly, Rhode Island. The drive-in is located on the opposite side of the highway from Misquamicut Beach and provides great views of the water. And while not a traditional drive-in, we have included it our directory because they have been showing movies there every summer consistently since 2013. Their movie screen is a permanent movie screen that stays erect all year. The Misquamicut Drive-in's screen is constructed from stacked cargo containers. They are open from May thru September and they show classic, second run movies on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays throughout the summer. They have concessions on site and it is only $25 per carload for admission. The theater is run by the Misquamicut business Association and the property is owned by the town of Westerly. There are water slides and other attractions next to or near the drive-in so come early for the water and stay for the movie at night.
